Being born in Germany where we don't have as much space and resources as in Canada, we are building and manufacturing in high quality so it will last longer. I was very intrigued when I saw this nearly 200 year old house for sale and wanted to find a builder that could renovate it with very high performance standards. I interviewed four builders before starting this project and chose Frontiers Design + Build for this job. They are high performance builders and have done a fabulous job The environmental impact is very important to me. I wanted the house to be built according to NetZero certified standards. The enormous utility savings are a great benefit too. The thick insulation, the triple glass windows and doors, and the air exchanger keep the temperature in the house very steady. It's great to see this beautiful old house live into the future, hopefully for another 200 years.
