Anke Kruse, Owner
Being born in Germany, where space and resources are more limited than in Canada, we have always thrived on building with durability, efficiency and quality. I was very intrigued when I saw this nearly 200 year old house and saw its potential for a high-performance renovation. I interviewed four builders before choosing Frontiers Design + Build for the renovation. Their commitment to high performance and energy sufficiency made them the right fit. Environmental impact was a top priority for me. I wanted the home to meet NetZero Ready certified standards, foremost for the planet, but also for the long-term energy savings. With thick insulation, triple pane windows and doors, and an advanced air exchanger, the house maintains a steady temperature year-round. It's deeply rewarding to see this beautiful old farmhouse not only preserved but revitalized—ready to thrive for another 200 years.
